The higher on the table a SNG is, the faster the pace. The lower SNG's have longer intervals between blind level increments, increasing the time of the SNG allowing for more skill based play. Tournament Fee / Rake explained
Every time you enter an online poker tournament the 'house' will add a fee as payment for hosting the game. Some sites have this fee included in the buy-in displayed and others will list the two items separately. Some poker rooms have different rake structures for different buy-ins - usually the higher the buy-in the lower the % fee. This can make it difficult to make direct comparisons between poker rooms, but in general anything above 10% is high for the industry and anything below 10% is low and good value.

You can join in the fun at any level to suit your budget and it's not necessary to win each sit and go (like jackpot sit and go's), you just have to come in one of the leading positions to move up to the next round. This makes them perfect for players who consistently come in the money but find they have trouble finishing the job and coming first on a consistent basis. The best thing about Prima Rounders is that you can use your tokens to buy in at the lower levels. This allows you to build up a bankroll of tokens before moving onto the Final. For example, if you make it to Round 3, then you have enough tokens to buy-in to Round 2 four and a half times, if you make it to Round 4 then you have enough tokens in your bankroll to enter Round 3 two and a half times, or Round 2 eleven times. By managing your tokens wisely you can build up a substantial token bankroll enabling you to compete in the final without ever risking having to start at Round 1 again.

Rounders are a great way to perfect your Sit n Go skills, although pay attention to who is already registered for the STT you are entering, there are some regulars who are making a pretty penny out of the Rounders system.
Keep notes on who is entering which Rounds and how often, you will soon learn who the resident sharks are
and find it quite easy to avoid them until you hit Round 4 or 5.

PartyPoker Steps may not allow you to save up your freeroll tokens to build a bankroll, but the structure is slightly easier to progress through and you have less chance of being knocked out. Some of the competition is very soft and once you have progressed through to Step 2, as long as you play carefully and tight in the early stages you will find it relatively easy to avoid being knocked out and having to start from the beginning again. Party Poker Steps are a great way to perfect your Sit n Go skills, especially if you are developing a 'tight - aggressive' or even a 'tight - passive' style. For those who prefer to play a looser game you may want to buy in at one of the higher Steps (if your bankroll allows) where the higher variance you will encounter won't count against you. Stay focused, watch you opponents and keep tight in the early stages (playing with only the premiums hands) and Party Steps could be a very profitable way to hone your Sit n Go skills.

Added Note: I've just played probably the tightest ever SNG Steps table - if you find all of your opponents are sitting back and not playing any hands, then up the tempo - steal their blinds and push them off pots, adjust your game to your opponents play and become the 'maniac'. Hopefully you'll accrue enough chips in the early stages that when you do come up against a premium hand the chips lost will be just a small percentage of your chipstack. Make sure if you adopt this style that you're not afraid of folding a hand, if they have been tight so far, the chances are that they have the winning hand if they start firing back at you.

With only 4 levels to work your way through and a slightly more sedate blind structure at the beginning, Ladders are worth a look if you enjoy the Rounders or Steps tournaments. More similar to Rounders than Steps, you can save up your tokens to buy-in at lower levels (your tokens can be used to buy-in all all levels except Ladder 1), although there are less levels and all except level 3 only allow the first 3 to go through there is less of a need for strategy for playing easier levels to build up your bankroll. There are also a 'Money Tree' Ladders tournaments with higher buy-ins, but the traffic levels are quite low and doesn't usually fill up even in peak hours.
