Another poker variation that is gaining steady popularity is "Pineapple". Pineapple is played exactly the same was as Hold 'em, with one key change, players are dealt three hole cards instead of two. In regular Pineapple, players discard one card before the dealer places the flop on the table. In "Crazy" Pineapple, the extra hole card is discarded after the flop, before the turn is placed on the board. With these exceptions, play in Pineapple and Crazy Pineapple proceeds in the same way as a regular Hold 'em game.
Both Pineapple and Crazy Pineapple are sometimes played as an "8 or Better" split game (Hi-Lo) where a high hand and low hand are possible for each pot. The low hand requirements are identical to those of Omaha Hi-Lo, except that in Pineapple split games, a low hand can be made with any combination of your two remaining hole cards and the five community cards.
